This little farm has loved and cared for alpacas in two different states over a period of fifteen years. Change is one thing that seems to remain constant in life and due to life circumstances the herd has been downsized over the last few years to only 12 females ranging in age from 2 to 17 years old. The twelve girls who remain are the "special" ones that were impossible to watch leave the farm. Deb, the shepherd here, is coming to grips with the fact that it is time for another really big change; time to find an existing herd with a bit of extra room in their pastures to share with this cohesive group of girls. This small herd of girls consists of 4 huacaya and 8 suri alpacas. Obviously, some are older and no longer breeding animals who simply need a place to be loved for their remaining years. Six of the younger animals are of above average to outstanding quality and would make good additions to a breeding program. For now, I would like to search for an experienced owner with space and the knowledge to care for alpacas interested in all of these females. The alpacas are all unique individuals and they all have a story, the shepherd who realizes it is time to allow them to move to another farm has a story. All of our stories are far too long, funny, and complicated to share here and all of that information will come out when the right person inquires. Please feel free to reach out via email at [email protected] or text message to 618-558-8390
Alpacas are beautiful animals that not only provide soft luxurious fiber that we turn into awesome products; they are peaceful and a joy to be around.
