GLR Catrina has incredible presence and was a show girl from the day she was born. Her mother NGG Catarina, consistently produced dense, greasy, high luster crias and Catrina is no exception. Her luster is beautiful and she has fineness as well with a micron count of 18.5. GLR Kolaqua, her sire, is a stunning dark silver grey 4P Condor grandson out of the only Condor daughter we have ever kept on the ranch. His mother GLR Amelita, is a grey appy who was the 2004 AAA Futurity Grey Female Color Champion. Kolaqua was the 2008 Grey Male Color Champion at both Mapaca and AOBA Nationals in Sandy Utah and won the 2009 AOBA Grey Male Color Championship in Cleveland. He is dense and greasy to the touch, has great luster, bone, a beautiful head and the mellow temperament of his papa Synergy. His shear weight was an impressive 11.8 pounds! Kolaqua has two full siblings who are both multiple grey color champions as well: GLR Coyhaique, 2007 Mapaca Male Grey Color Champion, and 2007 AOBA Nationals Reserve Grey Color Champion, and GLR Atacama, 2009 AAA Futurity and MAPACA Grey Female Color Champion, and 2009 AOBA Nationals Grey Female Color Champion. Catrina is one of his very first offspring and she made her debut in the show ring at the 2011 AAA Futurity and was first in her large class of medium fawn juvenile females, she was second under Kathy Klay at GWAS and 1st at AOBA Nationals in a class of 12. Her luster and fineness are outstanding! Catrina's first cria is a GLR Rastamon son, GLR Caballero. Cabellero as a juvenile was 1st in his class at the 2013 AAA Futurity, the 2013 Reserve Color Champion at the 2013 Mapaca show, 1st at the 2013 Nationals, Fawn Male Color Champion at the 2014 AOA Nationals and 4th at the AAA Futurity and Reserve Fawn Champion at the 2014 Suri Network Fleece Show. GLR Catrina was bred to Cinders and had a beautiful dark brown male cria, GLR Cazadores who looks very promising. So much so that decided to breed her back to Cinders again.
