Located near the South Rim of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and breeding Suri Alpacas for quality animals and fiber since 2013. Our Suri's are an enhancement to life. It's a pleasure to raise them and have the herd on our farm. There are 22 natural colors available directly from the animal but many enjoy dyeing the soft fiber or yarn as well. Their versatile fiber is warmer than sheeps wool and wicks away moisture superbly. Alpaca fiber isn't itchy and it doesn't have the greasy lanolin like sheep wool. Suri alpaca fiber is harvested once a year. We have them professionally shorn to ensure the best harvest. Our Suri alpacas are a joy to spend time around and to watch. Alpaca beans are a top soil amendment. We're here to mentor or answer questions even after you get the animals home. Suri Alpacas are a passion of mine and I love to talk about them. Teaching you what We've learned through experiences in breeding Suri alpacas, adult suri alpaca and cria care, fencing, fiber prep, and working with Suri fiber making yummy fiber arts and luxurious Suri alpaca products.
